St Columba High School at Gamdevi, one of the oldest girls’ school in Mumbai, will celebrate its 175th foundation day anniversary on Sunday.
A reunion has been organised at the institution from 9 am to 4 pm to mark the occasion. The school’s alumni, who want to give something back to their alma mater, have formed an association called ‘Noon-tide seekers’, which has collected funds to provide for the school’s underprivileged students. Moreover, they also want to set up a counselling centre to deal with emotional problems faced by students and help them tackle instances of sexual harassment.
Some of the school’s well-known alumni are parliamentarian Supriya Sule, theatre personality Vijaya Mehta, playback singer Suman Kalyanpur, classical dancer Kanak Rele and film-directors Chitra Palekar. var RN = new String (Math.random()); var RNS = RN.substring (2,11); var b2 = ‘ ‘; if (doweshowbellyad==1) bellyad.innerHTML = b2;
